Dr. Lance Johnson is a proud native of Texas. He is a board-certified sports medicine physician with a passion for helping athletes and active individuals achieve optimal health and performance. Dr. Johnson specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions related to sports and exercise.
Dr. Johnson earned his medical degree from Loma Linda School of Medicine, followed by a residency in family medicine at John Peter Smith in Fort Worth, Texas. He furthered His expertise with a fellowship in sports medicine at John Peter Smith, where he developed a keen interest in concussion management, joint injections, ultrasound-guided procedures and diagnostics, and preventative medicine.
Driven by a commitment to helping patients avoid surgery whenever possible, Dr. Johnson employs a range of conservative treatment methods, including physical therapy, regenerative medicine, and personalized exercise programs. His goal is to provide effective care that promotes healing and restores function, all while minimizing the need for surgical interventions.
A former athlete, Dr. Johnson understands the physical and mental demands of competitive sports. His approach integrates a comprehensive understanding of biomechanics, exercise physiology, and nutrition, ensuring personalized care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Johnson enjoys time with his wife, friends, and family. He also enjoys playing basketball, golf and more recently pickle ball, which helps him stay connected to the active lifestyle he promotes in his practice.
