Dr. Dalton Ryba is passionate about your foot and ankle health. He holds dual board certification through the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine; one of the youngest podiatric physicians in the country to reach this achievement. He received his medical degree in 2016 from Des Moines University, College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery where he graduated with Honors – Pi Delta, representing the top of his class. He completed residency at John Peter Smith Hospital, in Fort Worth, TX, where he served as the chief resident for his residency program.
Dr. Ryba found his passion for medicine through sport. Born in Nebraska, he began his journey into medicine at Doane University. While at Doane, he earned a pre-medicine designation bachelor’s degree in biochemistry while minoring in psychology at Doane University. Dr. Ryba also earned Academic All-American and GPAC all-conference honors as a member of the football team during this time.
Dr. Ryba found an opportunity with Lone Star Orthopaedic and Spine Specialists. He joined the group in 2019 and feels blessed to work with such a great group of doctors.
Dr. Ryba manages all aspects of foot and ankle care, from bunions and hammertoes to complex foot and ankle deformities. He is passionate about wound care and limb preservation, as well as advanced trauma and reconstruction. Dr. Ryba is also involved in clinical research, having published in multiple journals, and has been invited to speak at local and national events.
In his spare time, Dr. Ryba enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Kelsie, and three children Parker, Laney Jo, and Barett. Dr. Ryba also stays active in the community.
