Full Biography

Dr. Mitchell Peebles is a Burleson native and proud Burleson Centennial graduate who is excited to return home and serve the community that shaped him. He joins Lone Star in 2026 as a board-eligible Sports Medicine physician with a passion for helping patients return to the activities they love. Dr. Peebles attended the University of North Texas before earning his Master’s in Medical Sciences from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. He went on to complete his medical degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. He then completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Texas A&M University, where he cared for Division I athletes across football, basketball, baseball, and track and field. His experience working with high-level collegiate and future professional athletes strengthened his expertise in injury management, recovery, and performance optimization. Dr. Peebles specializes in non-operative orthopedic and sports medicine, including conservative treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, regenerative medicine, lifestyle-based care, and concussion management. As a former athlete himself, he understands the importance of timely diagnosis, thoughtful treatment, and safe return-to-play decisions. His goal is to help every patient, whether competitive athlete or weekend warrior, recover quickly, safely, and without unnecessary surgery. With advanced training in concussion evaluation and management, Dr. Peebles guides patients through the full recovery process, whether their injury occurred in sports, daily activities, or accidents. Outside of medicine, Dr. Peebles enjoys spending time with his fiancé, family, and friends. He’s an avid golfer, slow-pitch softball player, and loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs. He also loves traveling and exploring new places.
